Sady Pridonya, the producer of juices and baby food, and Tander JSC (Magnit retail chain), one of the largest grocery producers, as well as Mikromir, the manufacturer of outdoor children's equipment and children's playgrounds, will participate in the mission.

Over three days, it is planned to hold about 250 targeted meetings between Russian and Armenian companies, as well as a plenary session dedicated to the development of economic cooperation and partnership: new opportunities for interaction between the business of the two countries, a round table involving the issues of the healthcare system in Armenia and prospects for the exit of Russian companies to the Armenian market, as well as special off-site events for exporters.

The business mission has been co-organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia and the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia.

“It is important to strengthen business partnerships by enhancing ties between business representatives and between the regions of Russia and Armenia. Therefore, it was the right decision of Russian Export Center JSC and the Investment Support Center of the Republic of Armenia to organize the business mission during the Forum. Today, Russian and Armenian can enjoy the support of the state bodies, and have an opportunity to use the integrated instruments of Russian Export Center, which will give an additional impetus to the implementation of bilateral foreign economic projects,” Dmitry Volvach, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia, said greeting the participants.

“As we can see, there is good dynamics in the economic relationships between Russia and Armenia and there are good prospects for further cooperation between businesses from both countries, including the participation of Russian companies in large infrastructure projects in Armenia. This is confirmed by the current presence and interest of companies on both sides. I am sure that the business mission is an important support instrument for finding reliable partners and concluding preliminary agreements between the business circles of the two countries,” Vache Terteryan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia.

“The business mission of Russian companies in the Republic of Armenia, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia jointly with Russian Export Center, is aimed at further strengthening the positions of Russian business in this market. A number of B2B negotiations and offsite events for exporters are planned for the coming days. Business activities will facilitate the establishment of a direct dialogue between the businesses of the two countries and the formation of an idea of the current needs of our Armenian partners, which, in turn, will allow us to increase the volume and expand the range of industrial products supplied to the Republic of Armenia in the future,” Roman Chekushov, Head of the Department for International Cooperation and Licensing in the field of foreign trade of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

“We are carrying out this business mission together with our partner, the Investment Support Center of Armenia. In March this year, the Fund and REC JSC signed a memorandum of understanding. And now we see that the agreement has become a valid instrument. Thanks to such effective cooperation, agreements formalized in written form become drivers that ensure support and promotion of bilateral foreign economic projects” Dmitry Prokhorenko, Director for Foreign Network Development of REC JSC.

“Thanks to the joint efforts of Enterprise Armenia and REC, we managed to bring together representatives of the public and private sectors of the two countries on one platform to discuss the possibilities of implementing joint projects, establish contacts for further cooperation. Enterprise Armenia, the state body for supporting investors, makes every necessary effort to enhance and develop trade and economic relations between our countries, implement programs of mutual interest,” said Alina Yeghiazaryan, Head of Investment Promotion and Foreign Relations at Enterprise Armenia.
