VEB.RF and REC leaders will visit Italy on a business trip. It is planned to open an office to support Russian exporters there. The office in Milan and the export support group will be established with the participation of the Russian trade mission in Rome. The project is being implemented as part of a unified system for export promotion in the regions of the Russian Federation and abroad. The integrated support entities are to be launched under the “International Cooperation and Export” national project.
Under REC guidance, we are uniting the vast number of tools to promote export at the international and regional levels, consolidate the resources of development institutions and state support measures. I hope the domestic exporters, small, medium and large enterprises, will appreciate the advantages of a single network. Italy is one of the key partners of Russia in Europe. Our enterprises have strong potential for collaboration
Integrated export support system created by us in Italy will significantly expand the set of support measures, reduce the time for their provision, and also create the possibility of end-to-end interaction between local Russian export support centers and all regions of Italy. Moreover, this system will allow Russian exporters to effectively approach the Italian market, and, consequently, European ones
Earlier on, VEB.RF, Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and REC signed a tripartite Memorandum on cooperation in the field of foreign trade to build a unified system of export promotion. The parties agreed to share the experience, capabilities, resources and infrastructure available to VEB.RF, REC and trade missions abroad. Specialized export support offices are already operating in a new format in India, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and China.
In 2019, it is planned to open new offices in Germany (Frankfurt am Main), Turkey and Singapore on the ground of Russia trade missions abroad. Italy is traditionally one of the largest trading partners of Russia, ranking 5th in terms of turnover. By the end of 2018, the turnover amounted to $27 billion, up 13 % year-on-year.
