Within the framework of the business mission of Russian companies under the auspices of EXIMBANK OF RUSSIA JSC, member of the REC Group, a presentation of a new product line of KAMAZ PJSC, the largest Russian enterprise for the production of heavy duty trucks took place in Baku.
The official dealer of KAMAZ PJSC presented a wide range of KAMAZ trucks and special vehicles on KAMAZ chassis for all industries, including the new K5 model range.
The presentation was attended by Azer Talybov, Chairman of EXIMBANK OF RUSSIA JSC, Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rashad Nabiyev, Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Dmitry Volvach, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia, and representatives of Azerbaijani companies and the Investment Holding. The key agenda was to discuss the expansion of the geography of servicing of KAMAZ vehicles in the Republic of Azerbaijan, in particular, the production capacity of the Ganja Automobile Plant to produce a new K5 model range and the creation of maintenance service for KAMAZ vehicles with the financing of the REC Group.
“The REC Group has been supporting the largest truck manufacturer in Russia since 2011 with the entire line of non-financial and financial instruments. In its export activities, KAMAZ PJSC actively uses EXIMBANK’s instruments, such as pre-export financing, financing to buyers, as well as various types of bank guarantees. By organizing such presentations, we also support Russian exporters in the development of trade networks,” Azer Talybov.
“I would like to note that KAMAZ is not only the REC Group’s established client and partner but also one of its first clients. By actively using advisory financial support tools, we demonstrate their effectiveness, both individual and in combination. Integration of our company into the EXIMBANK’s business mission allowed us to determine new vectors in the development of export in the Republic of Azerbaijan, which, we hope, will soon lead to new contracts,” Sergey Kogogin, General Director of KAMAZ PJSC.
Following the presentation of KAMAZ products, Sergey Kogogin, General Director of KAMAZ PJSC, and Khanlar Fatiev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Ganja Automobile Plant, signed a memorandum of intent to organize a joint venture. The joint venture will offer KAMAZ trucks and trailers for lease to end consumers in the Republic of Azerbaijan. It is expected that the enterprise will allow Azerbaijani buyers to purchase trucks on more favorable terms. In turn, KAMAZ will be able to expand its presence in the local market.
