The business mission of Russian companies to the Kingdom of Morocco is undoubtedly a momentous and large-scale event in the development of our commercial and economic relations. The Kingdom of Morocco is one of the key strategic partners of the Russian Federation on the African continent. We intend to strengthen our relations and to create comfortable economic conditions for promotion of Russian products in the Moroccan market. It is important to emphasize that, during the business mission, more than 100 Russian and Moroccan companies from various economic sectors expressed their readiness to develop mutually beneficial cooperation

Besides, the Minister of Agriculture and Sea Fishing of the Kingdom of Morocco expressed his confidence that the contents and regularity of such business missions is the best evidence of the wish and aspiration of our countries to develop mutually beneficial economic and commercial relations.

Morocco is a window to a market with more than 1 billion consumers due to 57 free trade agreements concluded with other countries. Besides, Morocco holds an outstanding strategic geographical position. Morocco is a window to both Europe and Africa. For Russia, it may provide support for entering many markets of Africa

Minister of Agriculture and Sea Fishing of the Kingdom of Morocco

According to the participants of the meeting, during seven months of 2018, the total trade turnover between the two countries reached about 900 mln dollars (where export of products from Russia accounts for more than 550 mln dollars), which exceeds the indicator for the similar period of 2017 by more than 20%

Russia and Morocco are united by long-term partnership relations. For us, Morocco is one of the first Arabian partner countries. Russian export of agro-industrial products to Morocco is about 10% from the total export, and we are sure that this number may be increased
