Russian Export Center held a panel, involving the representatives of the Russian export-oriented businesses and a large delegation of business executives from COFCO Corporation (China).
In particular, Mr. Ma Yue, the Director at Huazhun Wufenmie LLC and the Deputy Head of the International Department of the China National Food Industry Association, Mr. Li Jiangyun, the Deputy Head of the Economic Exchange Department of the China National Food Industry Association, Mr. Qin Zelu, the Chairman of the Food Industry Association of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Mr. Qiu Jianling, the Chairman of Suzhou Grain and Oil Industry Association represented the Chinese party.
The Russian party was represented by Mr. Maxim Buzmakov, the Founder and Managing Partner of the Prod.Center agro-trading platform, Mr. Igor Danilenko, the Investment Director at Fosun Eurasia Capital, Mr. Alexey Chirkov, the Chairman of the Board of the Agricultural Products Exporters Union, Mr. Sergey Grigoriev, the President of the Agricultural Products Exporters Union, Mr. Andrei Gollandsev, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eurasia Insurance Company.
COFCO was founded in 1949. Now, it is one of the world’s top 500 largest companies and is ranked first among the 100 largest food enterprises in China. The holding involves nine companies that grow and process various crops, including tomatoes, grapes, sugar beets, rice, tea. COFCO also produces and processes broiler meat, pork and milk.
Russian and Chinese panel participants demonstrated the capabilities of their companies and agro-industrial projects. They discussed issues concerning logistics, product safety, commodity storage and segregation infrastructure development.
The representatives of the PRC declared the goal to establish new contacts with Russian suppliers and develop joint projects for further cooperation.
