Russian companies presented their products in Vietnam at the International Food and Beverage Exhibition – Vietfood & Beverage 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City. The organizers of the business mission were the Russian Export Center and the Export Support Center of the Novosibirsk Region. Several manufacturing companies presented their products at the exhibition stands and in the permanent Russian pavilion; they also negotiated on the export of products and technologies with potential Vietnamese partners.
The employees of the REC prepared information on the state of the market in the core areas for the members of the business mission and provided statistics of Russian exports to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
He also noted that this business mission had been formed from among manufacturing companies whose products are interesting for the Vietnamese market: these are manufacturers of milk and dairy products, crackers, crisps, grain, flour, equipment for plant growing and animal husbandry, for processing of grain crops.
One of the participants of this business mission was the Lyublino Milk Canning Plant, a leader in the production of canned milk in Russia. Sergey Khorkov, the General Director of the Plant, said that the strength of the products manufactured by the enterprise – using only natural milk for production – had interested representatives of Vietnamese importers.
We have already negotiated with two Vietnamese companies, organized a degustation. For their part, they expressed great interest; therefore, I think we will succeed in organizing the supply of products to Vietnam
The negotiations of Russian and Vietnamese companies took place in the REC’s demonstration and tasting pavilion – the Russian Gastro House that has been opened in Vietnam on a permanent basis since December 2017. The members of the Russian delegation also visited many Vietnamese companies and enterprises.
In the following days, products from Siberia were presented at exhibition stands of the Ho Chi Minh City International Food and Beverage Exhibition Vietfood & Beverage 2018. According to the members of the business mission, traditional Russian food products – canned milk, other dairy products, chips, and crackers – attracted special interest of the exhibition visitors.
