It was declared by the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation Alexey Gruzdev during his speech at a plenary session “Russia-Mexico: the Focus on Strengthening of Trade and Economic Relations in the Priority Areas” organized as part of a business mission to Mexico with the support of the Russian Export Center.
According to the Deputy Minister, currently, Russia exports to Mexico large volumes of metals and metal products, as well as chemical products. The goods imported from Mexico are mainly represented by engineering products and food products.
The plenary session was also participated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mexico Victor Coronelli, the General Director of ProMexico Paulo Carreño King, the Director of the European Department of the Ministry of Economy of Mexico José Manuel Antonio Luna Calderón, the President of the Mexican-Russian Business Committee of the Mexican Business Counsel for International Commerce, Investments and Technologies (COMCE) José Carral, the Director for Promotion of Export in the Chemical Industry of the Russian Export Center Ivan Petrikin, the General Director of the National Vaccine System of the Healthcare Ministry Carlos Rello Lara, the Director for Government Relations of Uralkali PJSC Alexander Novolokin, and the President of Coparmex Metropolitano Arturo Beteta del Río.
After the plenary session, round tables on “The Promising Directions of Cooperation in the Sphere of Construction” and the “The Market of Potassium Fertilizers and Their Role in Productivity of Agricultural Plants in Mexico” were held. During the discussions, Ivan Petrikin drew attention to the openness of the Russian Export Center to a dialogue and its readiness to assist in selection of business partners for certain specifications of imported products.
